About Us

Robin Hood's Bay Holiday Cottages was set up in 2006 by Julie Asher and initially dealt with just 5 cottages in lower Robin Hood's Bay. From those early beginnings, we have evolved into an efficient family-run agency with a wealth of local knowledge and a keen sense of customer service.

We can now offer you 26 charming self-catering holiday cottages in Robin Hood's Bay lower village. Indeed, we have more properties in lower Robin Hood's Bay than any of the big nationals!
We also have a small number of select properties in the surrounding area.

Our office is just a few miles away in the village of Sleights but we also work extensively in Robin Hood's Bay. We work hard to make sure that the properties are in good order for your arrival but if you do encounter a problem during your stay, it means we are never far away.

We are aware that it has become the norm to charge a booking fee on everything from holidays to theatre tickets but we are staunchly against them. They are unnecessary and we should all make a stand against them!

Our properties are in favourable locations, catering for all needs, tastes and pockets. True and accurate descriptions means that there will be no nasty surprises on arrival and we will endeavour to work with our property-owners to ensure that your holiday is relaxing and enjoyable.

Julie Asher

Julie Asher established Robin Hood's Bay Holiday Cottages in 2006 and built it up to a successful local agency dealing specifically with holiday properties in Robin Hood's Bay. After trying unsuccessfully to retire, she has given up! Julie will turn her hand to most things but her speciality is having a deep knowledge of the holiday sector and how it is evolving.

Josh Beevers

Josh was born and raised in Robin Hood's Bay and consequently has a wealth of local knowledge which is proving to be invaluable. In 2010, he left the coast to live in York but returned to his roots in 2015. Since then, he has relished in tackling major projects, particularly those involving technology, social media and accounts. Josh brought our new website to fruition in 2019 and has been instrumental in its 2026 upgrade.

Rosie Beevers (nee Asher)

Rosie is Julie's daughter and Josh's wife and has been with us since 2017. She is the stern office manager who keeps everything in order and running smoothly. Her time sometimes has to be split between work and looking after their two young children, Harper and Seb.
